Day 1, Fri, July 8
Sudan National museum. The confluence of the Nile. The Mahdi fortifications and lord kitshner boat. Mahdi’s tomb. Khalifa house. Omdorman market.
We can add a visit to Hamed El Nil mausoleum and attend the Sofi dance if it happen this day.
Hotel stay in Khartoum.
Day 2, Sat, July 9
Khartoum to Karima from the west road. 400 km on a tar road, about 5 hours drive include lunch.
Stop at Nuri pyramids on the way.
Arrive in Karima, hike Jebel El Barkl for the sun set.
Dinner and night stay in Karima.
Day 3, Sun, July 10
Visit the temple of Jebel El Berkl and its local museum.
Drive across Bayouda desert.
Arrive in Meroe pyramids field, dinner and camping overnight in Meroe.
Day 4, Mon, July 11
Explore Meroe pyramids and visit the Royal city.
Drive to Naga and Musawarat and visit its temples. If there’s rain, it would be difficult to reach Naga and Musawarat, since they lies at the end of a valley with no paved road.
Drive to Khartoum, arrives in Khartoum before the sun set. If time permits, we can add the 6th Cataract (Sabaloga)
